5. Start right now. Don’t wait until the next haircut appointment to start. This will only delay your growth and give something the stylist to work with.
4. Collect fun bobby pins, barettes, “Alice” bands: no matter how goofy you may feel, they will look better than letting the old hair hang in your eyes or flattened to your forehead from the rain.
3. Get your hair cut every 4-6 weeks; this helps the grow-out frustration phase and as your stylist shapes the rest of the hair, they can work on how the growing out fringe can be incorporated to the overall style.
2. Don’t be afraid of styling your hair with some added texture. In my own case, I have started to encourage the natural texture in my hair to blend in with the growing out fringe area.
1. Talk to your stylist to see if the new look may be right for you. Take into consideration your texture, length and style.
